For decades, computer science has been able to execute increasingly complex programs, while proving that those executions were correct remained largely a theoretical challenge.

Nexus Labs is building a Layer 1 blockchain designed around a zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM ) that serves as the network’s execution layer, where programs are run while cryptographic proofs are generated to attest that execution followed the specified program logic.

This architecture allows computation results to be verified independently, without re-executing the program or relying on trust assumptions about the party that performed the computation.

Nexus Labs is a venture-backed technology company based in San Francisco, California, United States, that raised $25 million in a Series A round co-led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Pantera Capital, with participation from Dragonfly Capital, Faction, and Blockchain Founders Fund, reflecting strong institutional support for the project’s long-term direction.

Node Rush introduces an active participation phase centered on compute contribution.

Participants connect through the Nexus app, enable compute, and run proving sessions that generate verifiable work on the network while earning Nexus Testnet Points.

On top of continuous compute contribution, Node Rush adds a participation layer with weekly quest drops, leaderboard tracking, and randomized Cache Strike events that award bonus points to active Node Runners. Progress accumulates across the season, rewarding consistency as contributors engage with the Nexus network and its verifiable execution process.
