description.md

Most Layer 1 chains compete on execution throughput. Fewer are designed around economic finality, validator incentives, and predictable system behavior at scale.

ZugChain is a Layer 1 focused on deterministic network behavior under load. Its architecture combines 256 native execution shards, a unified Proof-of-Stake consensus layer, and full EVM compatibility, targeting 100,000+ TPS, sub-6s block times, and sub-2s cross-shard communication, without fragmenting state or relying on probabilistic guarantees.

This design allows throughput to scale without altering validator requirements or monetary assumptions, keeping issuance, slashing, and rules stable as network load increases.

🪂 The ZugChain Airdrop Season 1 is live, with $100,000 allocated in $ZUG tokens to contributors participating in the Incentivized Genesis Testnet.

The program rewards verified contributions, including social quests and on-chain activity. Eligibility is tracked through Mission Control and reflected via legacy airdrop points.

The $ZUG token is scheduled to launch in October 2026.
